Derek Van Helsing

Sworn to protect the lives of unsuspecting humans. Blood lineage of one of the greatest monster hunters to live. Derek is from the lineage of the Van Helsings. His whole life he has been told stories of his great grandfather’s achievements. Now it Derek’s turn to honor his family’s legacy. Derek’s whole life has been on the road, traveling from country to city to town in search of the creatures that break the rules. Derek and his father have no landed in Holden Heights where it is rumored that Vlad III is living. Vlad III is the one vampire that Derek and his family haven’t been able to catch yet.

Russell McPherson
16. Warlock. Robert Sheehan.

Russell can be a bully—a hilarious bully—and to make matters worse he’s a warlock. He likes to use his powers to cheat on tests and play pranks—if not to make all of your lives miserable. He gets a great laugh out of that. He’s arrogant to say the least and it takes someone with very tough skin to be his friend and this is pretty much why he doesn’t have any real ones. This doesn’t mean that he doesn’t hang out. Russell has enough swagger to just invite himself to places. Hes popular in a sense that all of the popular kids are too afraid to be his enemies, so they associate with him. No matter what you say about Russel, you can’t disagree that wherever he does he brings a good time with him. It’s really only when you are his victim that you don’t find him very enjoyable. 

Vlad III

800 yrs old. Vampire. Ben Barnes

Heartless, conniving, deceiving, murder. Vlad is what humans expect vampires to be. His piercing dark gaze sends shivers down the spines of those who dare cross his path. Most people think that his  blood thirsty ways were spawned because of his transformation, but it is the opposite. His desires for blood have grown since he was made a vampire hundreds of years ago. At the age of thirteen Vlad had his first taste for the hunt of killing. He had gotten into a fight with one of the boys in his town and as soon the first drop of blood was spilled, he couldn’t stop. Death, blood fascinated him. He wanted to have the power over and be able to cause pain. Throughout Vlad’s life he has been constantly wondering the world, never able to stay in one place to long because of the havoc and massacre he leaves in his wake. Vlad now resides in Holden Heights, where instead of openly killing the people like he usually does, he now tries to be discrete. An old enemy is approaching him quickly and he isn’t sure how long he will be able to out run it.

Rebeca Miller

97 yrs old. Vampire Jennifer Lawerence

Rebeca never asked for this life, she never wanted to be some kind of monster that has to drink blood to survive. Before she was turned, Rebeca was so full of life and love that she always saw the good in others. Rebeca was turned in 1932 during the height of the Great Depression. Her family was well off and was able to escape the hard times that most of America felt. On the night she was turned, she had been out at salon party with a few of her close friends. Upon arriving home she saw her family’s slaughtered and managed bodies thrown about her home. As soon as she saw the bodies she ran over to her parent’s bodies unable to believe it. The attacker was still in the home and stabbed her leaving her for death. Rebeca was on the brink of death and would of died if wasn’t for a mysterious vampire who gave her his blood. Ever since that day, Rebeca has been searching for the vampire that saved her life but brought about this curse upon her. Now that she is a vampire, Rebeca has become distant, reserved and has lost that spark of life.

Eric Chambers

17 yrs. Werewolf Jake Abel

Cocky, arrogant, a player and wild. Not who you would expect to take Eliza Goodwin under his wing. Though Eric maybe all of those things he is very loyal to his pack and wont hesitate to harm those who get to close. Eric Chambers has a troubled past, he killed someone when he was 15. He would of surely been killed if one of the older wolves of Holden Heights found him. Ever since entering the pact, Eric has tried to control his hunger for blood and with the help of Eliza he has managed to almost completely submerge his urge to kill. Behind Eric’s hard exterior lies a boy tormented by guilt for his deed. Eric is now one of the wolves who is given the task to find lone, troubled wolves without a pack and bring them in for protection and guidance.

Eliza Goodwin

15 yrs. Werewolf Saorise Ronan 

Eliza Goodwin has been on the run for the past two years. Born and raised in a pack of blood thirsty werewolves who wouldn’t stop until every single human who harmed their kind was destroyed. At the age of thirteen Eliza fled her pack and is now on the run and trying to fend for herself. Eliza’s pack wasn’t to happy that she fled and now they are after her. She has sought refuge  at Holden Heights hoping to find a pack that will take her in and protect her. It is hard for Eliza to open up to anyone, she feels that if she reveals too much that her old pack will surely find her. This scared and young wolf is in need of a protecting presence in her life and she may of just found it with Eric Chambers, a wolf in her pack who she views like a brother. Will Eliza be able to escape from her past life or will her world fall to pieces?
